Drop shadow on object missing when exported to png

I need to export an object that has a drop shadow to a PNG file.  In the past, when I exported the object, the object's drop shadow was included in the PNG file.  However, now, the drop shadow is not exported.

I have attached a Designer file and the exported PNG file.  Any suggestions as to how to export the object with the drop shadow?

What export settings are you using? When I use the default PNG-24 one, the shadow is included.

Thank you very much.  I was using the PNG-8 (dithered) export setting.  

When I changed to PNG-24, I was able to export the drop shadow.
