MrSock Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I have been trying to look for a tutorial out there on how to make a gif. Yes I know you can export them, but how do you make them? I am looking for a video tutorial, and if there is a forum post already of this, please link me to it! Thanks in advanced! -MrSock Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 9, 2015 Staff Posted April 9, 2015 Hi MrSock, Are you referring to an animated GIF? You can only create static GIF's in Affinity - that is, an image (not an animation) exported in GIF format. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Could you recommend something else I can use to put together images into a gif format? And secondly why is that even there then? I would guess that would be added in the future :l (Hopefully) whatever 1 Quote
wantingtoswitch Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Yes, please add animated gif functionality. There may be an assumption that animated gifs are not commonly used anymore, but I am the Director of Creative Development for the largest international affiliate marketing agency and we create these on a daily basis with over 200 major brand clients. Photoshop is too bloated for what we do. We need fast, intuitive software and will soon be forced to leave Fireworks behind. I would LOVE to use Affinity. All it is missing is animated gif functionality and the stamp & clone tool within the app. We will be VERY happy if these are added to Designer and will immediately make the switch. whatever 1 Quote
Entangled Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 When is an animated gif feature going to be added to Affinity Designer? The open-source GIMP can create an animated gif from a layered image. Quote
