I created an ad for my business and exported a PDF for use in a printed magazine. It is also used in the online version which allows rollover/mouseover of the web address to bring up my website. I exported as a PDF from Designer and supplied it to the publisher, but the rollover function would not work. I have tried every way I can think of to get it to work but it would not. In the end I had to import the PDF into Adobe Illustrator (7 day trial version) and save it as a PDF which has allowed the rollover function online to work. Is there any way that I can get this to work in Designer as I do not want to pay £240 per year for Illustrator?

Hi @jeweller,

Welcome to the forums.

I'm afraid we do not support Hyperlinks in PDF at the moment. They will be implemented in the future, but we do not have an ETA. Sorry :(

Thanks,

Gabe.

Thanks. When I open the Designer PDF in Adobe Reader and place the cursor over my web address it opens the website. As far as I know the publisher places the pages into InDesign would that have an effect?

Adobe reader might detect the text as being a link and make it a "hyperlink" on the fly ( preview only ) but we cannot export Hyperlinks.
