I don't know what I did, but now every time I open AP none of the palettes (color, layers, etc) pull up and I have to go into the view file and manually pull them up.  Also, is it possible to display the brush and color palettes separately and is there a way to save my preferred palette.

One last question.  I am transitioning to AP from corel painter (don't want to get into the issues as to why - but I am not happy with them).  There are a few brushes in corel that I used a lot, but I have not been able to import any brushes from corel into AF.  Could anyone help me out with this.

Thanks

SP

Perhaps try View > Studio > Reset Studio to get things put back to normal? I don't know how it got that way, but resetting might make it right.

You can display the panels separately; just grab one and drag it someplace else. You could either float it separately from the panel stack(s), or move it to the left panel stack and dock it there. You can't really save a window layout, but the Affinity apps generally do remember which studio panels you have open, and where they are stacked. If they're free-floating I'm not sure the apps will remember their exact position after you close/reopen the app, but they should at least be open and visible.

Sorry, I don't think it's possible. Corel Painter only seems to export brushes in a proprietary format that the Affinity products can't understand.
