Can't change text from a template

Hi Ashley,

Welcome to the forums :)

What format is the template in? If its PSD you may need to go into the apps preferences  (Affinity Photo > Preferences from the top menu on Mac or Edit > Preferences on Windows)   and under general make sure Import .PSD text as text is ticked.
