Performance on a Macbook Air 2018

Hi guys!

Longtime fan of Affinity and actively using Affinity Designer on my desktop PC. 

 

My question relates more to Affinity Photo however. My girlfriend's been getting into photography lately and I suggested her to get Affinity Photo to do some editing in post. However she recently bought the new Macbook Air (the base version) and I was actually curious whether Affinity Photo runs smoothly on it or not.  

 

I noticed the Air struggles with 10 or something tabs open in a webbrowser so I am not sure how it would handle RAW images in Affinity Photo. Would anyone have experience with Affinity Photo on a lightweight laptop or specifically the macbook Air?

 

We would like to make sure it runs at least decent without major slowdowns before purchasing.
