buy now or wait?

Hello,
I hope, I did not skip it.
I have 2 questions.
If I buy AFFINITI-PHONTO now, can I always update or is it just for a specific version? Or can I use version 1.7, 1.8 ... 2.0 etc..?
Do I have to decide between the WIndows or Appfel version when buying?

I would be happy if I got an answer.

Welcome to Affinity Forums
1. All minor updates (1.7, 1.8, etc) are free until version 2.0 which is a paid upgrade however it will still take quite some time (certainly more than a year) until we get there - version 1.7 is still in Beta...

2. Yes, each platform requires its own license so if you buy it for Mac you will NOT be able to use it on Windows and vice-versa..
