Designers selection is glitchy, slow and lags (with huge selections)

Hello all,

I am trying to work with architectural files that I want to edit but I have a huge problem with selection. The thing is that the selection alone, without anything selecting is glitchy and slow. But when I want to select a bigger selection of curves as in the attached file you can see what happens. The selection is just horrible because I need to wait a long long time before I can make anything with that selection like

   group it, copy it or whatever as I get a loading circle for a minute or two. Can you help me with this problem? Is this solvable? Any suggestions?

I'd suggest giving this a go in the latest beta which you can download from here

Also if you could make the file available on our Dropbox box here I'll see if can suggest anything else

the file is here. As for beta, could you please try if it is ok as I still haven't bought the full version and I am still thinkg about it as I have such problems as described.
