Affinity photo is so close to being a Lightroom replacement and and yet so far....

My workflow:

Take some photos, adjust the color, saturation, clarity, etc. straighten it, crop it, select some item of interest, and turn down the rest of the picture (e.g. reduce the exposure, reduce the saturation, blur etc. the things not of interest). Load the copyright notice into the EXIF record, then export it to a fixed width (with the height calculated from the width).

Lightroom does all this, with lots of annoying things I don't want that get in the way (like trying to catalogue the images).

Affinity Photo "Develop Persona" nearly fits all of these.

But:

Lens corrections, don't auto crop, annoying but not a show stopper.

Elliptical Overlay Gradient Tool, doesn't let me select the inverse. i.e. I cannot select the area outside of the thing of interest, to darken or desaturate it, or blur it. This is a show stopper for me.

Likewise the lack of feathering on the elliptical overlay gradient tool, it looks totally unnatural, if I darken the whole image and lighten the inside of the ellipse, it looks like a bright ellipse, it does not look natural.

The EXIF pane lets me edit the description, but not the copyright notice, and does not let me load a stock copyright notice in!

Export (both simple and export slices) does not hold the resolution, in LR I can set a width (e.g. 1120) and the width is stored, and because I leave the height empty it calculates the height from the width each time I export.

Suggestions:

Add "feathering" and "select inverse" to the " elliptical overlay gradient tool.

Add "EXIF presets" and the ability to edit the copyright notice field.

Export should remember the export size in the presets, and if one is specified not the other (width, but not height or height but not width) , it should calculate the missing value based on aspect ratio.

A nice to have would be 'auto crop' on the Lens corrections.
