Item missing from Affinity Photo menu on imac

Recommended Posts

Hi I have just purchased Affinity and have tried to process  a raw photo. I have looked at the tutorials on how to process a raw file and they show several items on the Affinity Photo menu that I cannot see.

I have an imac with 10.9 operating system. (I checked the system requirement before I bought this product and it indicated that it needed 10.9 and above.)

I can only see file, edit, view, window, and help on the menu bar.  I appear to be missing text, document, layer, select, arrange and filters.  How can I get these to show on the menu bar?

I would be grateful for any help with this.

Hi Fat frog,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The interface/menus you are describing belong to the Develop Persona which is where all RAW files open by default for development/conversion.  After you click the Develop button on the top left of the interface the image will be moved to Photo Persona which have all the menus and tools you are seeing on the tutorials. To learn more about the different personas check this video tutorial: Discover Affinity Photo.
