AstroMal Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Has anyone got any advice on night time panorama stiching. I have a sequence of 10 shots, each of a 1 sec exp, yet the programme will only seem to use the middle section photos - and discard the outer ones? The mid section photos being lite by lights more than the outer edges. Is it just a case that the programme will only work with images that are bright across the image front? Quote
firstdefence Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 Sounds like the stitching algorithm is looking for identifiable details it can marry up in each image. If you can take the images again it might be better to take the shots at twilight/dusk instead of night, make the panorama and then adjust the image to represent a night scene. AstroMal Posted November 17, 2018 Author Posted November 17, 2018 Many thanks for your response and yes your right, I have tried to adjust the extreme edge photos and it will not deal with them. I will try again, when it gets misty in the evening and see how that goes. I think my biggest mistake was not using the f2.8 aperture and went for a better depth of field; a lesson learnt! Quote
