crop mode not constraining ratio in Affinity Photo

When I am using crop mode of 6"  X  4"  or 8.5" X 11" Affinity Photo allows me to alter the ratio as if I selected unconstrained mode. This does not occur in 5" X 7" mode. That ratio is preserved. 

Appreciate any assistance.

The 6"  X  4" and 8.5" X 11" presets are not ratios but absolute sizes (in inches) so when you adjust the crop frame the dimensions are adjusted accordingly as you drag the frame. The 5 x 7 preset is a ratio (notice it doesn't have units after the numbers) and thus the proportion is kept when you adjust the crop frame.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Is it possible to create a preset for the other ratios?

I think I can achieve what I want using a custom ratio. Is that right?

Yes, select Custom Ratio from the Mode dropdown in the context toolbar, write the ratio you want in the fields on the right of the dropdown, then click the Mode dropdown button again and select Add Preset. Give it a name and it's done. Note the upcoming Photo 1.7 have improved the Crop Tool considerably and the presets are managed differently, so the instructions above are only valid for v1.6x.
