How do I preview an adjustment only for the current layer?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

In Photo.

For example:
I have a few layers, and I want to match the brightness  of one of them to the one below.
But when I use the  brightens adjustment, I have a preview for all the layers. So I can't see the difference between the one I'm adjusting and the one below while I'm adjusting it.

Is there a way to preview the adjustments only for the current layer?
Many thanks!

If you nest the adjustment layer by dragging it to this position

layers1.jpg.1e8c604a3df93d74dcad8a3cee82b61f.jpg

it will only affect that layer (the parent layer).

Note: The blue highlighter bar is not full width. A full width bar indicates the layer will move below, not nest.
