Hi, folks-

I'm very new to Affinity and photography. Currently, I'm running on a 2015 MBP. I shoot in JPG, edit in Affinity, then convert to PNG. Not sure if this is the best approach?

After I place the copyright symbol and name on my photos, I cannot go back and edit the text (this is after I export to PNG). I'm not sure why. Is there a way I could do this, or would I have to edit the original photo all over again?

Thank you.

The PNG format does not support editable text or shapes, so when you export to it in Affinity Photo (or any other similar app) it everything is automatically 'baked' into a single image.

Keep a copy of the edited file in the 'native' .afphoto file format if you want to be able to edit the text later, & export to PNG (or JPEG) as needed for sharing, web publishing, etc.
