Hi arikw,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The JPG was already processed by the camera according to manufacturer settings while a RAW file contains the data as captured by the sensor without any processing applied. When a RAW converter/developer software opens it, it usually applies some initial processing (noise reduction, tone curve etc) which you can usually revert if you want to (at least in part). This processing varies a little depending on the program you use to open the RAW, so the results may not only differ between them but also differ from the processed JPG the camera generated. Using the Develop Persona (RAW controls) you should be able to match or even get a better result than the one generated by the camera - it all depends on your workflow and how you want the processed file to be. Check this article in Affinity Spotlight to learn a bit more about RAW files.
