Jupiter2222
This is a major shift in vector point display when editing the design image in Affinity designer for iPad Pro. When using the Affinity designer 1.6.2.42 for the iOS version of the iPad Pro 12.9inch model, the vector point shifts. The phenomenon first occurred in the latest version of the application. There is a big difference between when the home button is on the right side and when it is on the left side when doing work in display in portrait mode. If the home button is on the right side, vector points will not shift. However, if the home button is on the left side, the vector point shifts to the left. I attached a photograph showing the phenomenon, so please check it.
Staff stokerg Posted October 2, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 2, 2018 Hi Jupiter2222 and Welcome to the Forums, How are getting the shift to happen? I've just tested this on our 12.9 and couldn't get it happen. The shape stayed in place when rotating the iPad, adding a new shape on top. If you can break down the steps needed to get this to happen that would be great, as would a screen recording
Jupiter2222
Thank you for comments on the vector point shift bug. This phenomenon occurred only by rotating the screen of the iPad Pro. So I actually tried to record the situation where this phenomenon occurred by screen recording. After activating the Affinity designer application on iOS 12, this vector point shift phenomenon was reproduced on the iPad Pro screen. When I rotated the screen of iPad Pro several times, after confirming that the bug was reproduced and preparing to record that phenomenon, vector point shift naturally returned to its original state. After that, even if you rotate the screen of the iPad Pro many times, the phenomenon of vector point shift does not occur. As a result, we can not reproduce the phenomenon of vector point shift this time, so we could not screen record to record what kind of condition the bug occurred. Today, beta program for iOS 12.1 tester was released, so I upgraded iOS version of iPad Pro. After launching the Affinity designer application in the beta version of iOS 12.1, I checked again whether the vector point shift bug will be reproduced. As a result, this phenomenon did not reproduce even if the screen of iPad Pro was rotated. The phenomenon of the bug reported this time is that the latest version of the application of affinity designer 1.6.2.42 is a bug that occurred on iOS using beta version iOS 12.1beta1. That is, it seems to be an unexpected unexplained bug between beta version iOS 12 and Affinity designer application. For now, I was relieved that the bug in designing iOS application icons and mockups using the Affinity designer application was solved. Thank you for everything.
