KimJongUn
Attached is my doughnut problem, I'm trying to vector crop inside of a crop if that makes sense. I cropped the doughnut so you can see the space background but how can I crop the center of the doughnut using vector crop and without smart layers? In photoshop a vector mask was something I could just add or subtract from, I'm just not sure how to do that on Affinity Photo.
Staff MEB Posted October 1, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 1, 2018 Hi Trump, Welcome to Affinity Forums Draw both the outer and inner circle first, then use the boolean operations (Subtract) to subtract the inner circle from the larger outer one. Finally use the resulting shape as a mask. Note: you can draw the inner and outer shapes yourself with the Pen Tool to get an accurate result of the donut's shape( rather than use circles) or add nodes with the Node Tool (you must convert the circles shapes to curves first: menu Layer ▸ Convert to Curves) to the circles and tweak them to follow the donut's inner and outer outlines.
