Becky Stilley
When I download a vector It automatically opens my .eps in Affinity Designer and assigns an .afdesign extension. I need to either convert my vector back to an .eps or figure out how to download them without having them automatically be opened by Affinity Designer. This is my file and I need it to be in .eps so I can send it to my graphic designer who uses a differing program please. Of course, when I uploaded it here it shows as .eps! Please help! I know this is likely inexperience on my part. An obvious disconnect between the chair and the laptop! Thank you. Staff stokerg Posted September 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 19, 2018 Hi Becky and Welcome to the Forums, I suspect you have Designer set as the default program for opening eps files. If you use Windows Explorer to find an eps file you've downloaded (which likely shows the Affinity logo, as it's the default program for opening them) right click it and select Open With>Choose Another App and you can pick another app if you want to. Affinity Designer would only add a .afdesign extenersion if you clicked File>Save/Save As once you've opened the eps file. To export back out as an eps file, just click File>Export and you can select EPS or use the Export Persona to create a slice and export the slice as an eps file.
