Pencil and hand

Recommended Posts

Working on an iPad Pro 10.9 (first generation), Affinity Photo version 1.6.9.81. When working with the Apple Pencil if my palm touches the ? mark the screen pops all the suggestions up. Other times the palm will hit a tool and that changes. This is more distracting than anything but is there a way to turn the menus off or hide them completely until needed again? Is this an Affinity problem or just the iPad not correctly recognizing the palm rejection?

Hi Santasimage :)

There are a few options here, firstly you can hide the UI using the icon in the top right corner of your document (the square with arrow heads in) or you can turn on 'touch for gestures only'. If you go to the Welcome screen, select the settings icon (cog) in the top right corner, then go to the Tools tab you can turn this option on which enables palm rejection within the app. I hope this helps!

Sorry to hear this, I'd recommend making a feature request to be able to disable this option on the UI, you can post feature requests here -

They're now hidden by default, check out the following video for an explanation and instructions on how to get them back if you wish!
