Geetee
I'm thinking of becoming a new user of Affinity Photo having previously used only Apple's Photos on my desktop iMac. I have many thousands of images stored (and backed up) in the Photos library and want to store my Affinity edited images (Raw and Jpeg) back in photos. Any advice would be welcome relating to the best way to integrate the two programs seamlessly whilst preserving the original and the modified images please. Thanks to any one who can input to this issue.
Staff Gabe Posted September 14, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 14, 2018 Hi @Geetee, Welcome to the forums. Sending images from Apple Photos to Affinity Photo would be done as TIFF. That's Apple's way of transferring photos. I personally would not recommend working from Photos App, but saving them locally and work from there. But some might prefer the tiff transfer. I don't. Thanks, Gabe.
Geetee
Thank you Gabe. The "trouble" (not quite the right word) is that I like the way Photos helps store, index and find my source images as well as making collections (potrfolios/projects/events/people etc.....) but their editing facilities are basic and nowhere as good as the range of tools in Affinity. My ideal is a combination of the two into a single workflow that makes the most of both. I'll try and work out a process. Your input regarding TIFF is very valuable so thanks again. Geetee (GT).
