Guest
I've used Adobe Illustrator for over 20 years. I'm moving over to Designer. In Illustrator I normally saved files as .eps or .svg rather than .ai files. In Designer do I have to save my files as .afdesign and then export as .eps or .svg files - i.e. have to have two files of the same thing? Or can I save all my files as .eps or .svg and ignore the .afdesign file format? Can I import .afdesign files into InDesign? Thank you
Staff Callum Posted September 13, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 13, 2018 Hi Markeeee, You can't save as EPS but you can skip the save phase altogether if you would rather not have afdesign files and just go straight to export. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Guest
Hi Callum Yes, but on my first attempt, if I save as .eps and then open again in Designer the file is messed up. Text is saved as individual charaters on seperate layers, and stuff with effects applied have been rasterised etc. It looks to me like I'm going to have to save as .afdesigner and export - have two files.
