Help me stop Affinity from being default image handler! (Mac)

Recommended Posts

I'm using a Macbook Air and somehow Affinity has become the default photo file handler on my desktop. Affinity logo appears rather than the photo preview thumb. Consequently, I cannot see the photos in my trash can, or when I'm uploading etcetera. I'm a professional and need this capability. Your help is appreciated!

Hi Terrell,

Just right click one of the DNG files and select Open>Open With and now you can select which ever app you would like to open the images.  I have mine set to open with Preview.  Also when selecting the app, make sure you have the 'Always Open With' and it will keep them opening in which ever app you select.

Go into your settings click on apps than click on default apps than click on photos scroll down to the one that say affinity photo 2 click on that and than choose photos instead of affinity photo 2 for default. Hope this helps. It happened to me.
