inPainting tool & Flood Selection tool improvement ???

Recommended Posts

Hello !

So glad to write today again.
Wanted to ask if there is a plan to make the inPainting and Flood selection tool much better.
Personally, i was amazed by the way this tools operate the first time i saw it on a tuto from @Affinity Revolution youtube channel ... and i really made (and still) use of it but there some points that need to be improved; sorry to say this sort of comparison (maybe i'm just not getting the whole point of the tools) but i once found it even easier to inPaint or Flood select and object on a photo with Adobe PS CC18; in fact half a way on a project with my trainee designer i took it and tested the same to teach him the same similar way to inPaint then Flood select before masking and just found it easy (maybe because i struggled a lot with these tools during my first days using APhoto).

Please understand this: i'm not asking a clone of what we find on Adobe PS not GIMP, but as you can see here but i'm simply asking for something that is not only easy to use and understand for even a real beginner but the same thing must be really powerful and even precise, something (an improvement) that will bring a real change to the game and even make other products on the market to re-think and reconsider the way this great functionality should work.

Having a look at the video of the way resynthetization works under GIMP (yet it's an external plugin) and the way it's operates (yet they use less functions buttons) and the result at the end made me think twice about it and ask if there is plan to make the tool even better.

Blessings !

Never be the Same Again !
