Pwalder Posted July 12, 2018 Share Posted July 12, 2018 When I try to intersect a vector shape with an image, to try and use the vector to act as a ‘pastry cutter’ on the image, the result is just a selection outline rather than the desired cut out image........is this a bug or something Affinity Designer for iPad can’t do? Staff stokerg Posted July 12, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 12, 2018 Hi Pwalder and Welcome to the Forums, The compound tools won't work with a vector and bitmap. You'd need all items to be vector in order to use the compound options, so this isn't a bug. You can get the results you want by dragging the image layer on the Layer Studio onto the shape layer and releasing.
