I have decided to start shooting Raw and also to use Affinity. I built a macro for my raw processing and the photo looked good but when I batche processed similar photos they didn't look anything like the batch macro. Personally, it seems to me that the presets have far more control. Is there a way to use presets in the batch process? I shoot indoor flash real estate photos. If someone has a macro to share that would be greatly appreciated. Any helpful feedback is welcome.

Hi RealtyFlyer,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The RAW settings used in batch processing don't apply the same corrections as the Develop Persona RAW module which is more sophisticated/developed (no noise reduction, lens correction etc) thus currently you get different results from those processes (batch jobs vs Develop Persona). Currently there's no way to use Develop presets in batch processing - it always runs with prebuilt basic settings.

Let me ask another question. I quite like the presets. Is there a way to scroll through a batch of photos rather than having to go get one after another. That seems cumbersome and slow. Sort of like a next feature while looking at a file folder of photos.

Hi RealtyFlyer,
No, Affinity Photo is not intended to be used as a DAM with a RAW converter/developer included as Lightroom or Aperture for example. It doesn't use databases/catalogs, XMP sidecar files nor is able to apply the same settings to a bunch of photos from a photoshoot. It's more comparable to Adobe Camera RAW + Adobe Photoshop where you open a couple photos at once, develop them in Camera RAW and then move to Photoshop for further editing.
