emcampbell
Hi there, this morning I reopened an Affinity Designer file I was working on last week and it hasn't saved. I don't remember a force quit scenario and cannot seem to locate a recovery file on my mac. Where should I be looking? I have reviewed this forum, and haven't found anything to help. Staff Dan C Posted April 23, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 23, 2018 Hi emcampbell, Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately, Affinity file recovery is only useful when the application crashes (quits unexpectedly) and open documents are being processed. When the application closes normally and a file is closed, the temporary file (s) containing the recovery information are deleted. This information can not be retrieved and Affinity does not store the auto backup information as a normal document file, so could neither be found nor can be opened as if they were regular saved files. My sincerest apologies for any work you may have lost. Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
