Closed curve shapes filled with gradients, how to define the direction of the gradient

the title says it all. how do i define the direction of a gradient in a shape defined by a curve? I can reorient the shape in general, but i did not find yet a way to maipulate the diretion in which the gradient shall point ...

Hi Bildermensch,

With the shape/object selected change to the Gradient Tool (called Fill Tool if you are using Designer) to see the gradient controls on canvas. Use/drag them to set the orientation of the gradient directly on canvas.
