Affinity Workbook Tutorial Basics

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I going through the Affinity Photo Workbook and now I have a question to one of the Layer exercise.

I Just got the german one, so I'm gonna try to translate it :) Its on page 118 with the file called "masking_adjustment.jpg"

It says after the HSL Layer, i should invert it. In the Pic you see my how I invert it. But I do not now how to continue from that point.

Hi, looks like you have inverted the Background (Hintergrund) layer - instead, make sure you select the HSL layer and go to Layer>Invert. This should invert the HSL layer's mask and allow you to paint back onto it. Hope that helps!

You should not be adding an Invert adjustment. Simply select the HSL adjustment layer and then press ctrl+i on a Windows PC or cmd+i on a Mac to invert the mask that is built into the HSL layer.

Did work and I found it in the menu. Thx!
