iPad Air won’t Charge

My iPad Air had about 30% charge last night. When I woke up this morning, it was completely dead which I thought was strange.

I put it on to charge but 3 hours later, it won’t turn on and hasn’t charged at all.

If I don’t have it plugged in to charge, then it displays the red battery and the lightening connector symbol. Then when I plug it in, the lightening connector goes away.

I’ve tried clearing out dust from the charging slot, resetting it several times, different cables and plugs and lastly, I plugged it into my computer which didn’t recognise it.

Any ideas or do I have to take it in to store?
