How do I make shapes sync together, please?

I saw this video in the Affinity Tutorials, the problem is, it's not really a tutorial as much as showing something cool.

 

I am trying to make shapes that are the same size stack up in a circle like this, but can't quite figure out how. Is there a tutorial on all the bits that lead to this point? 

If not, can you tell me what it's called? I'm sure I'll find something on YouTube.
