Turn documents into layers

Hi, I have several photos open as separate documents but would like them to be layers. Can this be done, and if so, how? Thanks!

Not sure what you concrete mean here, since every photo document is/has already a layer (the background layer). - In case you meant then instead as several layers in just one document, you can copy/paste the background layers from the open documents over into another document as a layer. Also you can use the "File -> Place..." menu to open a bunch of photos at once, which will then be all placed as layers into the actually opened document.
