Any news on upcoming features & updates would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the amazing work!

If we gave one and miss it everyone would be disappointed. All features listed there are coming before version 2.0 as a free upgrade (the roadmap only covers the 1x cycle of the app). If you spend some time around you will find a few posts from the developers detailing a few new features or sneak peaks of what's coming: check for example these posts from Ben about the improvements coming to snapping or this one about grids, or by TonyB about the upcoming Affinity Publisher here.
