Typing Artistic Text Vetically

Can Artistic Text be typed vertically in Designer or Photo? I don't mean typing it horizontally then rotating it 90° nor a long narrow text box, I want to use Artistic Text.

No.

 

But you can use frame text in a narrow frame and centre justify it.

There is really not much difference in the two types of text. You can style frame text or convert it to curves.

Or just type the artistic text and apply a newline (enter) after each typed character.

Wow! Thanks for the fast replies. I thought maybe I was missing the obvious. I tried using a vertical line as a path and that wasn't efficient, probably because I haven't practiced. I'll use a text box like toltec suggested, which I already knew  but it's not as easy to stretch and pull visually.

If you use this handle, you can "stretch and pull visually", resizing the frame and text inside as one. Very easy 

 

or, if you mean distorting the text shape, convert it to curves.
