Smooth zoom

I know this is minor, but was wondering if there is anything I can change to improve it. When I zoom in n a photo, for a moment i get a pixelated version until it is redrawn on screen. Anyway to make this smoother?

Hi Ringo79,

 

You could try going to preferences and under performance try changing the display drop down if you are on Mac or the renderer dropdown if you are on Windows  However the app redrawing in this way is fairly normal so it might not make a large difference.

Thanks, I'm on Windows and tried changing the render option with no luck. I came from pixelmator and was used to smooth zooming without re-rendering. I just want to make sure that what I am seeing is normal.
