cidney Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Why £9.99 for Apple users and nearly £50 for anyone else? Is the Apple version a cut down version in anyway? Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 7, 2017 Staff Posted December 7, 2017 Hi cidney, Welcome to Affinity Forums Only the iPad version costs £9.99. The desktop versions for Mac and Windows both cost £50. Although the iPad version provides almost the same functionality as its desktop equivalents, there's a few areas where it still lacks behind (you can't create macros - only import/run them -, perform batch jobs etc). The iPad as a computing device is still more limited than current desktop computers so the application must be adapted to work within these restrictions. The interface is different (touch based), the memory is limited, etc so although i wouldn't call it a cut down version since it's quite powerful as a tablet app, it's different enough to warrant a lower price.
