cminchom
I am an amateur photographer who has relied totally on Aperture since it first came out. Like many others who now see Apple seemingly definitively moving away from the enthusiast/professional customer, as it replaces both iPhotos and Aperture with the new Photos App, also currently in beta, the question is where to turn instead. For those who do not wish to revert to Adobe products, Affinity Photo seems to be a good potential home. According to the beta I am playing with it seems to have plenty enough features to keep me busy learning about it for quite a while - not that easy to learn either! The pending Affinity publishing app should be a welcome add-on as well, especially for casual users like me provided it is intuitive to use. However, from what I see so far Affinity Photo presently does not have archiving and storage capability - it would be very nice indeed if this functionality were to be added so as to have everything in one place. For non-professionals, who do not have hundreds of thousands of images to worry about the independent storage of, moving stuff around between programs is just another form of punishment. Staff TonyB Posted February 11, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks for the feedback. We are focused on completing the planed range of Affinity applications first but an organiser could be something we look at in the future.
