gurmukh
I've opened a PSD (made in the latest photoshop) with Fonts that aren't installed on my system. I want to get the font-size, colour and potentially change the text. If I select the text tool and click the text, I am unable to edit the text. Is this a bug? Dave Harris
We do attempt to import text as text. Are you sure your file doesn't have it stored as outlines or as a bitmap? If you post an example file we can check what's happening.
blonjair
If you don't have the font on your computer, you can't edit a document using such a font without a license for that font.
Dave Harris
Blonjair, we'll just draw the text using a completely different font. Probably Arial. So it will look wrong but you can still edit it. There will be warning when the document is opened that this has happened.
