Staff MEB Posted September 14, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 14, 2017 Hi Icelittle3000, Welcome to Affinity Forums The vector objects you have used in your design/project are defined mathematically and as such never lose quality no matter if you zoom in/out or scale them up/down thus looking always sharp inside the program. Generally speaking to be able to keep them as sharp as in the program you have to export to a file format that supports vectors as well, like PDF or SVG for example. If you select a raster (pixel) based format like JPG or PNG, the vectors must be converted into pixels (rasterised) which are resolution dependent and thus lose quality if you zoom in/out or scale them up/down (becoming pixelated or blurred depending on the case). Pixel based images only look good when viewed at the size/zoom they were designed (100%). So depending on what you want to do with you image (is it to post on a website, print what?) you may need to export to one of those vector formats or define the image dimensions you need (in pixels) so you can export to a raster format with the same dimensions the image will be seen on a screen. You may want to do a search on Google for "vector vs raster" or similar to learn a bit more about the differences between vector images and raster images. I've moved this thread to the Questions section. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Icelittle3000
Thank you. I found the problem. One of my friends check it out for me in Photoshop. I have to make my design in inches instead of px. That solved the issue. Now everything is working fine. I had my setting for pixels not inches. When i was making me a Facebook cover everything I was exporting was pixelated. When start it all over in inches everything was sharp and clean. I am new to design and photo. I am trying to get use to doing my work in affinity photo. I love the selection brush tool it really more accurate then photoshop. Thank you again.
