powerupmedia Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 When I try to create a slice from a group that has something masked inside it, the size of the slice is determined by the size of the unmasked content. However to me it seems more logical to have the slice the same size as the visible content (the way it is masked). Is there a way to make the size of the slice respect the actual visible content? Staff MEB Posted August 29, 2017 Staff Posted August 29, 2017 Hi powerupmedia, Welcome to Affinity Forums I believe we already have this issue logged. I will check it out and bump the report with a link to this thread if that's the case. Meanwhile any chance you can attach the file with the respective layers and slice (you can delete all the rest) so i can check it with the latest Beta build (or are you already using the latest Beta)? powerupmedia Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Thanks for the quick reply! I've added a very basic example of the problem. Hope it helps! test.afdesign Quote
Staff MEB Posted August 29, 2017 Staff Posted August 29, 2017 Hi powerupmedia, Still not working correctly in the latest Beta. I will bump the report or create a new one if there isn't any. Thanks for the file and for letting us know about this. [EDIT] Issue logged. powerupmedia 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
powerupmedia Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 PS This mask thing also is an issue when trying to align objects. Quote
powerupmedia Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 @MEB Is there any news/progress on this issue? This still seems to be a problem in v1.6.4 Quote
Staff MEB Posted July 4, 2018 Staff Posted July 4, 2018 Hi powerupmedia, The original bug was already fixed on the Mac but i find out another issue while checking the fix - which i'm logging now. I will have to check this on Windows again and will bump the report. I will also see the alignment issues you mentioned. I'm sorry for the trouble. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
powerupmedia Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 @MEBI also noticed that having thick brush strokes in a slice also increases the size of the slice by too much. I added a file as example. Hope this can be fixed as well. line_slice.afdesign Quote
Staff MEB Posted July 5, 2018 Staff Posted July 5, 2018 Thanks powerupmedia. I will pass this to the dev team as well. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
