waverider
Hi together, After Developing my raw-file in the "develop persona" all controllers are back to zero, when changing into the "develop persona" again. It seems that the tool treats it like a complete new picture. Would it be possible to change that, so that the controllers are back to the place where they were before? Then it would be easier e.g. to compare the settings of multiple similar pictures, to give them the same settings. Or does the develop persona work in the way, that the raw file is converted into a Flat-Pixel Layer? Nice evening, regards
Staff MEB Posted August 14, 2017 Staff Share Posted August 14, 2017 Hi waverider, Welcome to Affinity Forums As soon as you hit Develop, the settings you have defined are baked up to the image destructively - this means if you go back again to Develop Persona it will consider the image as a new image/starting point. Currently there's no non-destructive RAW development in Affinity Photo. A additional non-destructive workflow is already being considered for a future version. Note that Affinity Photo is not a DAM software - it doesn't support XMP sidecar files nor use a database to save RAW settings. It a RAW converter/developer and photo editing app similar to Adobe Photoshop + Adobe Camera RAW. We are also considering to develop a DAM software for later. waverider
Hi MEB, Thanks for the quick response, good to know about the actual funcionalities of Affinity. I think it will still take some time to work into the software And a non-destructive workflow would be awesome in the future Regards
