dominik
Hello Yousuf123, wellcome to the forum. It is a little hard to give you a correct answer because you are not describing in detail what does not work. But I want to try to give you a very simple example. Create any closed shape object like a rectangle or a circle. Press 'v' to switch to the move tool. Make sure that on the right side of the window the swatches palette is visible. If not, select 'View / Studio / Swatches'. In the dropdown selection at the top of the palette select 'Colours' if not already selected. In the top section of the palette you can see a couple of circles, a double sided arrow and a thing called 'pipette'. Make sure that the big circle that has no border is active. Do so by clicking once on it. Finally click on one of the color swatches. This should change the color of the object you just created. I highly recommend this tutorial video: Affinity Designer for beginners. At about 2:40 minutes the first rectangle is created and the colour black is assigned. Good luck! d.
