Hello,

I have a question about filling in vectors. I understand the difference between vectors and pixels as far as this topic goes and can use the fill tool properly. It seems like using letters would be the best way to explain my question so here it is. I can draw a 'c' with a vector and fill it in. But let's say I want to draw an 'A'. I can draw the outline and the internal shape to make the A, I can then group them so they move together but if I want to fill it in I can't do it without covering the internal shape. I guess it's a matter of setting fill peramiters between the two separate vectors? Is this possible?

Thanks friends.

You need to combine the shapes

Draw the A background

Draw the Triangle bit and place it above that.

Go Layer > Geometry > Combine.  That will give you an A with a hole.

See pic with deliberately offset triangle.

Hi The RollingMountain

If you do not group the two items the outer A and the inner top of the A but instead select both items then go to the top conext tool bar and select the subtract icon, if you fill the object it will fill the letter A.
