Hi everyone,

I am new to Affinity Designer and just ran into an issue while exporting. The exported file contains an artifact (3 gray dots from an intermediate step) that does not show up within Designer. Trying to locate it I have deleted all layers from the .afdesign file, but the "ghost content" is still there:

Maybe I have missed some simple setting that causes this issue?

Thanks for your time.

Hello danielhopp,

Welcome to Affinity Forums.

This is weird. Do you know how do you got to this point? Can you replicate it again?

I'm logging this issue to be looked at, but some more information could be useful to track down the problem.

Thanks for reporting it.

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately I do not remember the exact steps. I started with a PNG file and drew paths on top of it. Copied and rearranged a few groups and layers, nothing unusual I would say.

Same issue here. I started with a background image and 'placed' a transparent png, text, shape and text over the top. I then duplicated, flipped, merged and added vingette to the background. I have saved, reopened edited and saved again. Closed and reopened and need to only export the background image but turning off the other layers leaves a 'ghost' image on the background. Deleting the top layers doesn't remove this ghost content. History only takes me back to the last open. The ghost content is darker than the original.

Is it perhaps the adding of filters to the background after layers have been added 'on top'?
