How can I export just the logo...

Recommended Posts

Hi, I guess this is an absolute beginners question...

I was able to create a logo with Affinity Designer. Everything is fine. But whenever I export it as .jpeg or .png and then import it in MS-Word, the whole A4 page will be imported.

How can I export just my drawings?

Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Hi Joe Jackson,

create a slice in the export persona and export just the part of the page you want to.

Have a look at the documentation for the export persona ("Help > Affinity Designer Help ...").

Hope that helps. Have a nice day,

Alex

Hello Alex!

Thanks a lot for your answer, it helped a lot!

Yet I don't understand why an object I created cannot be used individually. Why do I have to attach "background" (even though transparent)?

In addition, as far as I can see I only have the option to export the object as .png.

I wish there was a different solution.

But thanks again, Alex, at least I can continue with my work now!

Hi Joe,

have a look at the export options in the export persona. Perhaps you have to make the respective panels visible in the sidebar. There you can choose which file format to export (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF) with different options – and even export single items! Just click on the export icon of a single item in the "Slices" list or select the appropriate items and use "Export Selected...". Have a look at my screen shots.

Best,

Alex
