Refining Selections; Mask; right click to refine mask is not in the drop down

I searched Affinity Forum using "Mask" and "Refine +Mask" but did not get a hit about my specific question;

 

In the Tutorial Video named "Refining Selections", after creating the Mask from the selection in the Panel, the tutor instructs to right click the Mask and select "refine mask" in the drop down list. This option is missing from the two version I currently use on my mac mini (1.4) and MacBook Pro (1.5.2);

 

The Tutorial does not match the current options available in the drop down menu on right click. How do you "refine" Mask then?

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

You have to right-click over the thumbnail of the mask in the Layers panel to see that contextual menu. You are probably right-clicking on the area on the right.

Hi,

Thanks for the feed-back. Effectively, watching the video again, the presenter clicks the thumbnail, however he says "you right click the mask here" in the narrative. 

Had he specified that the right click needed to be done in the thumbnail...

I will post your feed-back under the tutorial, it may be useful to someone else.
