adamtwar
How do I hide those violet rectangles (bounding box indicators around objects?)
adamtwar
I found it. View / Snapping Manager / Show snapping candidates. The most absurd UI place ever (why not in the View menu directly?), and it's just plain wrong to have it on by default.
R C-R
The View menu is already very long & Show Snapping Candidates is an option only for the "Candidate List" option, & only if Snapping is enabled, so it is not as much a document view option as just one of many snapping ones. It would be somewhat absurd to put it in the View menu as a separate item instead of in the Snapping Manager panel (which can be accessed directly from the main Toolbar as a dropdown menu if you use the Customize Toolbar option to add the Snapping group to your toolbar). Note also that you can create your own Snapping presets.
