I would like to try this. Does anyone know how it might be done with AP? Quote Skill Level: Beginner, digital photography, digital editing, lighting. Equipment: Consumer grade. Kodiak
• Hi mar! One thing to remember here is that the guy want to make a point: one can get better/or as good results results using complicated software post processing when using gear of limited budget compared to a higher end gear. His demonstration seems complicated because he joins two operations at the same time: averaging and stitching which, respectively, tries to compensate for gear quality and panora- ma picture processing. If you would tell me the gear you plan using, I could help you with the panorama production but forget the averaging part of it. Camera, lens, tripod, head. rmar
Thanks Kodiak, It was just something I wanted to experiment with but I'm not willing to subscribe to PS just to test an idea. I recently purchased AF and AD and I own a copy of Lightroom4. That's as far as I'm willing to go atm for my hobby spending. I don't have pro or semi-pro gear. I'm just a hobbyist digital photographer. I purchased a sony nex5n a few years ago and also have a nikon d5100 (both have the same 16MP sensor). Most of my lens are from the 35mm manual focus days. The only upgrade I'm considering is adding a Nikon D7100 so I can use autofocus on my Nikon 70-180mm zoom lens. I will add something to my sig to indicate my level of experience here :). I am fascinated by photography but it's a slow process for me. I'll be spending my time learning lighting technique and doing still life tests while experimenting with lighting and the Affinity software. Like I said, I was just curious if AP was capable of doing something similar to what he did in that video. I miss my F3 and film. :) Quote Skill Level: Beginner, digital photography, digital editing, lighting. Equipment: Consumer grade. PaulAffinity
I love AP... But ICE (free from MS) is incredible. I have used it to stitch 16 images (x 12.2MP) in ICE - incredible auto fill and stitch options. And it is so Fast.... Enjoy, P
rmar
Thanks MBd, I am watching them now. edit: Just finished watching the tutorials, very helpful. The only difference I see in the tutorials vs the above video is this. The AP tutorials all show a panorama stitched horizontally. The above video stitches them both horizontally and vertically. I'll play around with this later and see if AP has the smarts to stitch in both directions. Thanks again. anon1 1 Quote Skill Level: Beginner, digital photography, digital editing, lighting.
