SerifUser
I recently purchased Affinity Designer on Windows and I'd like to know a couple of things: First off, if I purchase Affinity Designer for Mac, am I spending another $49.99 USD in addition to what I paid for the Windows version? Is there any rebate associated with buying it for multiple platforms/operating systems? Secondly, on how many Windows devices may I install Affinity Designer? What is the limit per license? Thanks for your attention to this matter, Satisfied Serif User
Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2016 Hi SerifUser, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) 1. Yes each platform requires a separate license. Currently there's no rebate for buying licenses for both operative systems. 2. As a private individual, you can install, use and run for personal use, one copy of the Serif Software directly on each computer that you personally own or control. For more details please check this page (Digital orders | How many computers can I install a digital product on? section). Mike Martin
If you guys would consider a cross platform promotion, I'd seriously buy both. I have to have the software working on both Mac/Windows simultaneously as I'm constantly switching between platforms.
Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2016 Hi Mike Martin, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) That's complicated at this point because we don't sell Affinity apps for Mac on our Store. The licenses are already quite accessible. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
