GMPhotography
Here is my newest creation with Affinity Photo. We were treated to a nice sunset the other day while my family and I explored a local lake. First sunset in a while so it was extra special. Kodiak
• I like the low light mood in this take, Greg. I just wonder "what if" you would have held back the blur as to preserve more of the moody image and, to a degree, less of the overwhelming effect. …a photographer's PoV, no more. We share AP but none of the other apps. I visited for FB page and I loved the umbrella on the beach! Keep rocking! GMPhotography
Other than the sky, I found there wasn't much in the background that added to the image. If I kept too much of it in focus, the tree felt more of an awkward annoyance than a subject. It was all meant to isolate the tree, which is what I was really after. Perhaps slightly centering it more would have been a good idea. But like all locations, I love to go back more than once and in all kinds of seasons and lighting conditions; so I will end up playing around with this composition a bit more :)We're just getting snow, so I might make another trip there very soon! Thanks for the input, always appreciate it. Kodiak
… I love to go back more than once and in all kinds of seasons and lighting conditions… • Right on, I know no other way! Snow? I'm sure you'll have more than we have here in the noth-west of the Pannonian plains, central Europe and I am somehow missing all that canadian snow! Enjoy winter. ;) Quote www.kodiakmedia.at bureau@kodiakmedia.at TeamViewer: 668 015 544 Skype: kodiakonline If personal taste is involved, Light is free, Mother Nature provides the light discussion is pointless. capturing it is NOT. but talent renders the image. Enjoy winter. ;) Well, I say snow, but it's only in the upper heights. I live in a semi-arid desert in south central B.C. so we don't get a lot of snow or rainfall. I guess technically it's considered the very very northern edge of the Sonora desert -we lack the big cacti- but have Rattlers, sage brush, and small cacti. It's cold though. Forecast to be around -15 C this week. This tree is high enough for snow though :) Quote FInd me at: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GM-Photography-142947659079869/ Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gmphotography32/ or my personal website, not kept frequently up to date: www.gmphotography.ca I use Affinity Photo, Lightroom, Panorama Maker 5, and Photomatix for my photography.
