SrPx
Hello, I believe Affinity products have a very bright future. But for my specific needs, I need to make a question to help me decide if purchasing now both applications or (perhaps) much later on (for other purposes). My issues with painting are, as I mentioned the one of painting zoomed out, (which is being addressed), the lag when starting a brush stroke (which have improved in Photo .37 (in Designer have only tested the previous beta), and with better hardware (card) will probably even disappear), and aliasing prob is reduced by increasing the brush smoothness, but there's one small important thing that still bugs me quite: The slight trembling of the lines while moving the cursor. I have not experienced this with any other software, this becoming to pixelated / smooth constantly, whenever the cursor moves, and as I understood, is to provide best performance, is a show stopper for me as a drawing person, distracts me too much, can't focus. I know it sounds ridiculous (probably it is). But I am believing this is not possible to change as is in the main graphic engine of both applications, Photo and Designer. So, my idea right now is just so not to purchase them both now, and keep painting with Krita and Gimp. I probably might be (and back at the forums) purchasing both much later on for other future projects not involving painting (only as image editing / print file preparation). I'm almost sure that this aspect cannot change, but wanted to know for sure if is fully confirmed that there wont be a future change of that, and so the refreshing in the engine is not going to change, that is, that is never going to be a fully steady image while painting like in Krita, Gimp or Photoshop. If so, that's completely fine, as I say I will find another use, just would probably avoid buying for some time. Please... excuse the length of the question. Cheers, Quote AD, AP and APub V2.5.x. Windows 10 and Windows 11.
SrPx
Trash this.... I will buy both softwares no matter what, anyway. And Publisher, as well, when it comes out. Too good and well priced to let them pass... Quote AD, AP and APub V2.5.x. Windows 10 and Windows 11.
BioFan
I'm new to Affinity Photo, just bought it today. I tried the Windows Beta and that's the first thing I noticed. I was hoping the MAC version would not have this pixelated issue, but apparently it does (though not as striking as Windows' version). I'll try not to mind it too much, but it is very distracting while drawing/just moving my cursor. Ugh, hope future version will not have this and still as smooth.
